Just a reminder that the TK-5th grade Halloween Costume Parade is happening on Monday, October 31st, from 9-10 am. Parents are welcome and encouraged to stand outside the front of the main building to see your children pass by in their costumes. As a reminder, November 1st is a learner-free day.
The following expectations apply to all learners TK-12:
- APPROPRIATENESS
- Costumes may not be demeaning to any ethnic group, race, religion, nationality, handicapping condition, gender, individual, etc. It should follow the school dress code, which prohibits foul language or references to drugs or alcohol.
- NO FAKE WEAPONS
- No exceptions.
- STAFF MUST BE ABLE TO IDENTIFY THE STUDENT
- No costumes completely mask the student’s identity (i.e., plague doctor mask, ‘scream’ mask, makeup that covers the entire face, etc.). Inflatable costumes with a clear screen for the face area are acceptable.
