May 31 marked a very special day for our 10th grade class at SCVi. This was their time to shine and share their passions with us. They have been working hard this year to showcase these passions through the use of a research paper, physical model/movie and a trifold board. Each of the learners chose a passion that was was both meaningful and inspiring to them. This culminating project not only showcased their true passion but also gave them the opportunity to make a mark in the community.
During the presentations in Shakespeare Theatre we learned about various topics including building a mini motorcycle, becoming an animal advocate, different art forms showcasing emotions, global warming, entrepreneurial skills and bringing awareness to child and domestic abuse. Our learners went above and beyond in these amazing showcases and wowed the assessors during their 10- to 15-minute presentations.
They were proud to showcase these projects to their SCVi community and families and we were proud of all the hard work they put into it to create such an amazing presentation of learning.
All 9th graders will participate in Personal Project Boot camp this Friday morning from 8:30 to 10:30 in The Village.
