While brainstorming alternate ideas for prom this year, SCVi’s Upper School Advisory Council Ambassadors chose to mark our original prom date with a virtual dance open to all Upper School learners, while we wait for an alternate date for this year’s prom. One ambassador suggested that we have a virtual dance and raise money or collect food for two local Santa Clarita Valley organizations that provide relief to local families in need.
So . . . SAFETY DANCE was chosen as our theme because of our current social distancing safe-at-home orders due to COVID-19. There will be a DJ, contests, and an online meetup to raise money for our community. Join us by donating, because “We can dance if we want to!”
The dance is free, but we are asking all dancers to donate to either the SCV Food Pantry or Family Promise of Santa Clarita Valley. As a point of reference: Our average dance tickets are usually $10-15 dollars. The ticket for the prom was more.
Please consider one of the following local organizations that provide hunger and shelter relief for SCV residents in need.
You must register to get a link to the dance. It will be emailed directly to participants an hour before the dance.
