Dear Families,

School should be the epicenter where we love, embrace, celebrate, and promote the WHYs of the day! As parents, we can attest to our children asking WHY from the onset of their speech. So WHY do so many learners often stop asking WHY as they matriculate through the grades?

Perhaps traditional schools have become so caught up in the sport of test taking, passive delivery of information and extrinsic motivation that it naturally kills kids’ intellectual curiosity.

SCVi is all about the WHY, honoring the intrinsic motivation of learners to not only ask the WHY questions, but also explore deeply to find the answers. Intellectually curious humans fare better in careers and life, think out of the box and have emotionally healthy relationships — just a few of the many reasons at SCVi we love the WHY.
