Message from the Leadership Team: Back to School Survey, Patriot Day and More

Dear SCVi Families,

We’d like to thank all our families for attending Back to School Night last Tuesday. We appreciate your taking the time to learn more about our program. If you haven’t already taken our Back to School Night Survey, please let us know your feedback so we may better serve the needs of all our families in the future. 

This past week, we continued with our initial school year assessments with each grade level undergoing MAP tests. Your grade level facilitators have been reaching out to families about specifics. On Sept. 15, we will begin our ILP (Individual Learner Plan) process where your facilitator (lower school) or your advisor (upper school) will meet learners and families to develop this year’s learning goals. We set aside three separate days (Sept. 15, 21, 22 and 29) to ensure we have the time to meet with every learner and their family. To provide even more time to meet, on Thursday, Sept. 21, all grades will be dismissed on a minimum day schedule. Your learner’s facilitator should have contacted you to arrange a specific time to meet.

Finally, please join us at 9 a.m. Monday, Sept. 11, for our first flag assembly in the back of the school in observance of Patriot Day.
