SCVi Family Spotlight: Meet the Brocato Family
The Brocato Family is excited for their first year at SCVi. Christina Brocato, husband Joe, and their two kids Georgia (7th) and Hudson (6th), are excited for their first year at SCVi! Christina and Joe hail from the suburbs of Atlanta, Georgia, where their families still live. Shortly after meeting, they got engaged, and moved to New York City, where they lived there for almost 10 years. Fifteen years ago, they moved to Los Angeles, chasing the sun and looking for somewhere to start their family. This past August, they celebrated their 23rd wedding anniversary. Wow! Time sure does fly!
The “Brocato Tribe” moved from Glendale to Santa Clarita at the end of June because they longed to be closer to nature and have the space to roam. Georgia loves to ride horses and play volleyball! Hudson loves fencing and rock climbing and they both have been spent several years in the Scouts. Joe enjoys making documentary films, working on house projects, and planning fun family vacations. Christina is enjoying a career change, after 22 years in the stressful fashion industry, to becoming a certified energy healing counselor. She’s grateful to be able to spend more time at home with her family, pursuing a more meaningful path for her.
With that, Christina is very excited to be the new lead parent liaison for SCVi. This is a new volunteer role that will work with PAC (Parent Action Committee) and facilitators to bridge communication, foster relationships, facilitate and rally support where needed. It’s a great way to get involved with your child’s education and school life, and create community. If you’re interested in helping out with this role, please let Christina know, or reach out to the Foundation team.
The Brocatos are looking forward to an exciting school year!
