Message from the Leadership Team
Hello SCVi Families and Friends,
This Friday, our fourth graduating class will receive their diplomas in front of their family, friends and school staff. They will prepare their caps and gowns, making sure everything is in place for this anticipated day. Our seniors have completed their senior internships, they’ve bonded at their senior retreat and Grad Night and will conclude the week with a senior and alumni breakfast.
As administrators, we want to send them off with great academic words of wisdom. In reality, they simply need to know that their parents, guides, teachers and friends are still a phone call, email or text away. They will discover the highs and lows of their new lives and dig deep at times to keep powering this new adult persona they’ve matriculated into. The reality is, they are anxious to become the humans they have envisioned becoming since we started asking, “What do you want to be when you grow up?”
In summary, our kids will be just fine; they are more than capable. They have always been, and will remain individuals who are masters of their own destiny. They will inevitably fall, fail, have broken hearts, but they will also be forced to use those challenges to learn more about themselves and grow. Congratulations, class of 2017. We are all only a text, call or email away.
