News from Scarlet Foundation

Dear SCVi community, we at Scarlet Foundation can’t believe the summer is almost over already! But here we are, and as all of you are getting ready for the first day we want to give you some important updates from Scarlet Foundation.

First, we would like to give a HUGE thank you to all of our amazing kids for raising almost $43,000 in the spring Step It Up campaign for our Shade Project! We are in awe of all of our kids’ enthusiasm and the commitments you SCVi families and friends made for this cause. 

Second, speaking of the shade project! Now that we have funding to get this project off the ground the Scarlet Programs and Shade Committee Maegan Pearson and Amber Caul have been working hard to pull together bids for big shade structures that will be built out in the back areas where our kids play everyday. We have three great bids and we’re now working on finalizing which company will meet our needs and give us the best bang for all our bucks! We will then get into the building phase and we hope to have these structures built in the next few months. This will cause some inconvenience out in the back area but we hope you agree, it’s for the best cause!

Third, Scarlet Foundation has many new initiatives in the works for this coming 19/20 school year and we are thrilled to announce that our own Nicole Miller has committed her time as Co-President of the Scarlet Foundation board. We will be putting out the call to fill some other critical board positions so please keep and eye out for that.
