SCVi Ambassadors, Warmth Drive, Learners Giving Back
Our Upper School Advisory Ambassadors met after the fire, wanting to do something to give back. Together they decided to sell hot cocoa at our winter production to raise money to help those SCVi families and staff members who have damages caused by the fire.
One staff member, Armando Guillen, remained at our school while his street was evacuated on Tuesday. He did not leave until the very last student was signed out. Upon returning home, Armando found out that the fire burned into his back yard and his house suffered water damages from the efforts to save it. Thank you Armando for taking good care of us! We collected $140 from our hot chocolate sales to give to those in the SCVi community who were affected by the fires.
The ambassadors will also be organizing the collected blankets and coats to donate to those in need on Wednesday, Jan. 10, at 3:45.
You can still help out: Please contribute any blankets and coats to the upper school office by Wednesday morning. The fall lost and found items not collected before the break will also be donated.
