Senior Portraits: A Bit of Sunshine This Fall

Last Thursday and Friday, our seniors took part in a milestone that in the past we took for granted. When taking senior portraits, it finally starts to settle in for our learners that they’ll be graduating.

Each year in the past, we’ve gathered and taken the photos on one day.

This year, as with many other milestone events during the pandemic, we were challenged to think out of the box.

Where and how could we mark this occasion in the safest way possible? 

Thanks to Castaic Lake Recreation Park, we found a solution. (And special thanks to SCVi Board Member Tracy Hild for helping make this happen.)

Portrait sessions were scheduled fifteen minutes apart. Masks and safety protocols were followed, and the sun shone as each senior marked the moment.

We look forward to meeting up in the spring to take our group photo at the beach.
