Staff Spotlight: Alix Cauthron

If you have a 6th grader, you have probably already heard about how much your child adores “Ms. C”.

Alix Cauthron joins the iLEAD team this year as 6th grade science facilitator. She is a graduate of Cal State Channel Islands, where she earned her bachelor’s in biology.  While there, she enjoyed a beekeeping class and would love to explore bee keeping more, now that she’s graduated.

This year, she is looking forward to building the kids’ relationships with science, and fostering the growth of junior scientists coming out of 6th grade. Project-Based Learning is so hands-on, and she loves that she’s not going to be doing lectures but real hands-on science with the learners. Lastly, iLEAD’s social-emotional focus allows for her love of building relationships with her learners.
