Staff Spotlight: Jody Kirby
Education Specialist Jody Kirby has been a teacher since 1990, with most of those years spent as a private reading tutor and substitute teacher. She is a founding parent at SCVi, and she began as a parent volunteer and substitute teacher. That role has grown, and she is now the Education Specialist serving high school learners. She earned her credential and Master’s degree in Special Education at California Lutheran University. Jody loves the adventure that is SCVi! She enjoys her role supporting learners, making their education more accessible, and allowing them to find success in the general education classroom.
Jody has a husband, two sons, two dogs, and a cat. Both boys found a love of school that they continue to embrace. Jack graduated from SCVi in 2017 and is now attending Chapman University in Orange, CA. Nick is attending SCVi, is currently in 10th grade, and has been at SCVi since kindergarten. While not in school, Jody enjoys family time, cooking, walking the dogs, and reading.
