Scarlet Foundation News: Shade Structure Update

Unfortunately, we still have not received the permits from LA County to begin construction on the shade structure. This means it will not be installed during spring break as we had hoped. We’ve been told there is a backlog with permitting at the county office, and we will continue to follow up. 

We’re disappointed that we don’t have more positive news, but we’re ready to go as soon as the permits are approved. All the money that was donated for this project is in the bank waiting for the approval, so we will be able to move forward quickly as soon as we get the approval. 

We appreciate your patience and support throughout this process. And, again, we want to thank our facilities team for their hard work setting up and taking down the temporary structures every day.
