Innovation Studios Spotlight: Kianna Hurtado

Innovation Studios is a hybrid learning program designed to align passion with purpose. Through a combination of personalized projects, online learning, and site-based classes, learners have the opportunity to build an education unique to them. In the Innovation Studios Spotlight, we will identify a new learner each week to introduce them, and explain their “why” behind the what of Innovation Studios.

About Me: My favorite color is black because it goes with everything. I like high-top shoes because low tops are uncomfortable. My favorite food is my mom’s homemade chili cheese fries because they’re made with love. I like to listen to all types of music…except country. I have a two-year-old sister named Kiyah who I love very much. On the weekends, I enjoy spending time with my mom.

Passion: Character Drawing

My Why: I wanted to be in Innovation Studios because it would allow me to improve my focus. By concentrating on streamlining my responsibilities through one guide (facilitator) rather than across a number of educators, it allows me to keep a clearer vision for what I want to achieve. The flexibility of Innovation Studios allows me to stay on top of my work and pursue my passion for Character Drawing.
