SCVi Brings Home 1st Place Judges’ Choice at SCV Chili Cook-Off

April 19 brought unseasonably warm weather and a spicy win for SCVi. With two first-time entries, SCVi proudly took home first place in the 4th Annual SCV Chili Cook-Off hosted by Wolf Creek Brewery. Ella McPeters, 2nd grade learner, and Griffin Loch, 6th grade learner, proudly served their chili with glowing school pride all evening. Parent Robert McPeters lent his support and prepared chili to represent SCVi, and it was parent Mike Simko who brought home the trophy for SCVi. Mike’s chili was a zesty BBQ-infused bean chili that the judges just couldn’t get enough of! Due to the wonderful support of our families and learners, SCVi enjoyed a victory at this fun community event.
